Phase Noise in RF and Microwave Signals; Definitions, Quantifying and Measurements

SPEAKER: Dr. Salam Marougi, Ph.D. – Keysight Technologies
Phase noise is a very important parameter in many RF and microwave applications especially those related to Cell Phones and Aerospace and Defense applications.
Dr. Marougi has received his Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees from the University of Birmingham-United Kingdom in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. He has many years of academic experience in various Universities. He has taught courses for Santa Clara University, The University of California-Berkeley Extension, and Sonoma State University. For the past twenty-seven years, Dr. Marougi is working full time in the Hi-Tech industries, that includes Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, and presently, Keysight Technologies. Currently he is with the Signal Sources Division of Keysight Technologies where he is an Expert Research and Development Engineer. Dr. Marougi has published numerous reports and papers that includes twenty-five referred papers on various topics covering Phase Locked Loops, Microwave antennas, and Signal Processing.
Dr Marougi is an Adjunct Professor at Sonoma State University, Department of Engineering Science.
